Chocs away for young bakers

Students from The Hewett Academy enjoyed the sweet smell (and taste) of success as they whipped up a selection of delicious treats.
The young bakers made chocolate cakes topped with sweets, and tasty scones in the practical cookery workshop on Monday, April 30.
The session was one of a series organised by The Hewett Academy’s Sue Ferguson and led by Tesco community worker Christina Martin in the school’s food technology room.
Teacher Jill Lockwood said: “The cakes looked fantastic and tasted just as great!
“Many thanks to Christina for her time and providing the ingredients, and Mrs Ferguson for maintaining this valuable community link.”
