New chapter for parents’ book club
Published on 14/11/18
A “fun and friendly” book club for parents and carers at Norwich Primary Academy is looking for new members.
Book-loving mums, dads, and grandparents are invited to come along and chat about their favourite reads over a hot drink and toast or croissants.
The group meets on Wednesdays in term time from 9am to 10am in the school library.
Recent reads discussed by the group include CJ Sansom’s spy thriller Dominion, historical drama Miss Appleby’s Academy by Elizabeth Gill, and romantic comedy Croissants And Jam by Lynda Renham.
Book club member Rosie described the group as “fun and friendly, and a chance to get out and meet new people and have a good chat”.
School librarian Lisa Day, who runs the group, said: “The book club is a great opportunity for our parents to discover some fantastic books and make new friends.
“Anyone is welcome so please do come along and give it a try.”
